I also lost some momentum with that one because I had read the first nine right after the other and then endured a long pause before reading "Dead in the Family". When I finally got to it, it felt a bit lacking...but after a few chapters, I recaptured some of my enthusiasm for the series. Still, I'm really hoping the next one will be better.
