The full text from First Lady Michelle Obama's impressive speech at the DNC.
Even Fox News is calling Paul Ryan out for his lyings/misconceptions from his RNC speech. That man.. scares me.
We as a society, benefit from seeing strong women on tv.
Need a Tom Hiddleston gif to properly express how you feel? Our TUMBLR OF THE WEEK, Gifs of Hiddles, has you covered.
I don't usually watch book trailers - they seem kind of silly - but this one for Jay Kristoff's Stormdancer is both hilarious and awesome.
Awesome movie lines edited to ridiculous lines for TV. ("Hand me the keys, you fairy godmother"??! lol) WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE. NSFW.
In honor of Mary Shelley's birthday - how pop culture has celebrated Frankenstein.
And, finally, an explanation of Christian Bale's gravelly Batman voice.
This Harry Potter movie retrospective is pretty darn cool. There are spoilers, so beware. And no I am not tearing up, my eyes are just watering.
The list of the Hugo Award winners. Yeeaaah, Game of Thrones!
This is a great list of short YA books (220 pages or less) in case you're in need of a quick fix.
The Hunger Games -- as acted out by Beanie Babies. So damn funny and absurd and I love the internet.
And sometimes the internet sucks: new spoof accounts targeting/trolling authors Anne Somerville and Stacia Kane. GEE I WONDER WHO THAT COULD BE.

On a happier note: the director of the new Arrested Development series talks episode structure, and hints we might get even more AD-awesomeness. There's no way that will ever be a bad thing.

New pics from the Hobbit movies - Legolas's father Thranduil is revealed. I can hardly see Ned Lee Pace in there. (RIP Pushing Daisies.)
Check out the pilot for the new show "Revolution" - directed by Jon Favreau. (No matter what he does in life - directing Iron Man, etc. - I will always remember him as Monica's wrestling boyfriend on Friends.)
Judy Blume shares her battle with breast cancer. Between this lady, Lois Lowery, JRR Tolkien, and JK Rowling, they helped create my love for reading.
