Hello my loves! Shortest month, big month! I read 10 books, DNF'd 1 at the 160 page mark, but added 13 books to my queue. (My "reduce the TBR" challenge has, um, not gone well, guys.) I read 3410 pages with an average rating of 3.8 and I spent $48.98 on books, which is pretty darn good! I'm feeling really good about my reading choices, which are more a mix of "review books" and "me books" than last year. I find Bingo really helps because it give me a reason to read "me books". (2 more Bingos in February!)
Personally, I'm still having ups and downs, (which is why all five reviews below link to GR. I just haven't had the energy to format them,) but I have a doctor's appointment and I'm hoping a med adjustment will help. Life's a little hectic as my husband has gone from part-time minimum wage job to a 50-hour a week salaried position!!!! It does mean a complete redistribution of chores and time together, so I might be around a bit less as we settle in. In non-book obsessions, I bought a Wii-U and am so obsessed with the new Mario and Citizen's of Earth. Like "6-hours on my day off when I should be cleaning" obsessed. Do I have any gamer followers? What should I buy next?

No haul pictures this month. I finally bought Fairest and Waistcoats and Weaponry in hardcover and got ADSoM (SO GOOD) for my Kindle. Iron Kissed, Alpha & Omega, and A Tale of Two Castles came in at the library. (All done and returned. Now give me Jellicoe Road. I've been waiting forever!)
ARCs - Netgalley: The Earl's Defiant Wallflower,The Captain's Bluestocking Mistress, and The Girl at Midnight. Edelweiss: The Sin Eater's Daughter Macmillan: Love Fortunes and Other Disasters 1stSecond: The Sculptor Very grateful to all the pubs. As you can see, most of these are already done and reviewed, yay for being on top of things!
What about you all? Are you buried under snow with nothing to do but read? Are you too busy watching Jupiter Ascending for the twelfth time? Are you looking forward to something specific in March? (It's ADSoM., even if you don't know it.)

ReplyDeleteGuess there are a lot of us in that boat. But adding books is ALMOST as much fun as reading them, right?
