I'm a winner!

After eagerly waiting and waaaaaaaaaiting, checking my mail every day after work (usually I remember to do this about once every two weeks) and there it was. A beautiful, shiny, hard-back, brand new book by China Mieville. I won this dystopian masterpiece (let's hope) on Goodreads a few weeks back and the good people at Random House have come through for me! 

It's just so pretty and newwww. Into the pile it goes, but it won't linger long there. Embassytown has jumped to the top of the heap.  Though I have heard nothing but raves for most of Mieville's books, I've yet to crack a cover on a single one to my unending shame. This and another book by him, Un Lun Dun, both have caught my attention and I can't wait to delve into this world; review will surely follow!
